The first time I picked up a camera was to shoot my first born baby girl and that was 25 years ago. I used black and white film and instantly got hooked on shooting and hand processing the photos. It was magic, I loved it!

Child photography and weddings, my first photography business, developed very quickly into a successful nationwide child and family portrait company called Positive Negatives. 

After 15 years at the helm of Positive Negatives I sold the business and my focus moved to film work. I was really lucky to be offered work on some local productions shooting stills and learning how to operate video cameras. For 4 years I was involved in many productions travelling throughout NZ and overseas.

Television work was awesome but I felt that I wanted to stay closer to home and I was very interested in real estate photography and video. The opportunity came up to train and work in this area.  I've been shooting and videoing homes in Auckland for 5 years now and I totally love it. 

My inspiration and knowledge comes from the teachings of Mike Kelley and Nathan Cool, two highly successful real estate and architectural photographers from the United States.

What gets me about real estate is the variety of properties and the potential to create. I get excited when I find the perfect balance in a shot. To me it's about hunting for that gold, finding it and working at it until it's just right. It's about creating a work of art so that listing stands out from the rest.

It's about getting attention.
